I feel blessed to introduce the dynamic duo Bo Janicic & Jessica Serfaty from RIDE'N'STRIDE . Two Adventurous souls spreading great energy where ever they may go. They gave iamVibes a few minutes of their time to share what truly resonates with their hearts.
WHO INSPIRES YOU?
Bo: My sister Adriana. She is an example of a pure hearted, genuine, kind and hard working soul. Qualities which I admire and look for in people. The ability to be so selfless, as she is, is a rare quality which many preach, however; put to practice it elevates that individual from all the others. She inspires me to consider others before myself; to plough through in times of doubt and to give to those less fortunate. She really is a rare person and I'm blessed to have her by me.
Jess: One specific person does not inspire me. People inspire me. People I've never even met before. The soldiers of life. Spoken best in the words of Elizabeth Kubler Ros, "The most beautiful people we have known are those who have known defeat. Known suffering. Known struggle. Known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These persons have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with deep loving concern."
HOW DO YOU CREATE CHANGE IN YOUR WORLD AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Bo: In our generation the ability to influence others is merely a click away, to say the least. I believe it to be important to be advocate of some sort. Whether it be: environmental, humanitarian or charitable. It is so easy to be involved on that front; with the power of technology at our hands. I am involved in small scale fundraisers as well as spending time with children of special needs or orphans. Giving an hour or even a couple of minutes per week to someone who requires it, can put a smile on their face and that in itself is change.
Jess: Empowering humans to live for something greater than themselves is a domino effect. To create change one has to start the process within themselves first. I strive to be a woman of wisdom, integrity, strong morals and character. Once I see these traits develop and strengthen within myself I can share with others.
WHY DO YOU FEEL IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE WORLD SHIFTS TO A MORE HEART BASED ENERGY?
Bo: Funny, I often have this discussion with friends. Women think with the heart and men with a business ideology. Now that is completely stereotypical and of course does not apply across the board, it is merely an observation we found amongst our group of friends. To open your heart means to have an elevated sense of emotion; this is a powerful tool for both self-realization and acceptance which in turn can bring about strength and courage. Heart based energy is a selfless and pure one to me. It incorporates the superior good eliminating the political or economical issues; by which our world is driven by today. To have the ability to shift to that energy may help not only in every day life but on a global socio-economic scale.
Jess: Love is all powerful. I believe love moves mountains not man alone. The root of change is love.
